The AVRIL GROUP has announced the initiation of exclusive negotiations regarding plans to transfer SOPRAL

The AVRIL GROUP has announced the initiation of exclusive negotiations regarding plans to transfer SOPRAL, a company belonging to the AVRIL GROUP, to PARQUEST CAPITAL.

Under these plans, PARQUEST CAPITAL would become the majority shareholder in SOPRAL, working alongside its current management team as well as SOFIPROTEOL, minority shareholder. AVRIL, through SOFIPROTEOL, would thus support PARQUEST CAPITAL in these plans, and would be an important partner for SOPRAL’s future developments in its high-growth markets.

Founded in 1957, and an AVRIL subsidiary since 2010, SOPRAL is a French company specialized in the formulation, production and sale in more than fifty countries of innovative nutritional solutions for dogs, cats and horses. Based in the Ille-et-Vilaine Department, SOPRAL operates two production units in Pléchâtel and administrative offices in Pont-Réan.

These plans have been presented to SOPRAL’s staff representative bodies, thus indicating the start of an information-consultation procedure.

Details of the arrangements for this operation have not been made public.
