Lesieur
Lesieur specializes in manufacturing and selling edible oils and dressings. As part of Sofiprotéol’s Oilseed Division, Lesieur benefits from the expertise of a group that is involved in all aspects of the oil industry. The company takes advantage of this unique position to support sustainable innovation and provide high-quality products to consumers, the catering industry and the agri-food sector.
Leading producer of edible oils in France
Lesieur is widely recognized among professionals and the general public for its leading brands of oil such as Lesieur, Puget, Isio, Frial and Fleur de Colza. The company’s portfolio of innovative products has been developed with a focus on several key aspects: taste, quality, health, and respect for the environment.
All brands of oils Lesieur
Sofiprotéol’s involvement in all aspects of the oilseed industry helps Lesieur manage the various steps involved in producing its oils, from purchasing and crushing raw materials through refining and bottling.
Building on this expertise, Lesieur developed Fleur de Colza using an integrated supply chain made up of 7 oilseed collectors and more than 500 French farmers, all of whom conform to the company’s precise specifications. Additionally, Lesieur uses a tracking system to ensure its oil is a product of sustainable agriculture, 100% French, and of the highest quality.

DRESSING SECTOR CONTENDER
Since the 2008 acquisition of Générale Condimentaire, Lesieur has been actively present on the condiments market. This move has strengthened Lesieur’s position as a significant market challenger. The company has already launched a number of innovative products, including Isio ActiStérol, the first salad dressing to reduce cholesterol, as well as other sauces (e.g., Béarnaise, 3-Pepper, Indian).
INNOVATION AND SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT
From the very beginning, Lesieur has been an innovator in the sector, both in terms of its products and packaging. In 1924, the company introduced the first bottled oil to the French dinner table. Today, it continues to pursue initiatives aimed at marketing oils in a responsible and sustainable way. Lesieur is responsible for the development of Frit’O Clean de Frial, a gelling agent that makes it possible to dispose of cooking oil along with household waste. The company also uses more recycled plastic to make Isio oil bottles.
AN INTERNATIONAL PRESENCE
The global market is a growing source of revenue for Lesieur, which now has a presence in more than 60 countries, including Italy, Portugal, the United Kingdom, Germany and even North African countries, where the company is forming local partnerships.
Edible oil expertise
Within the Sofiprotéol group, the combined expertise of Saipol and Lesieur, from raw materials to finished products, offers a unique service for consumers and the agri-food industry.
This expertise in production, quality and nutrition led to the creation of Lesieur Solutions Industries, which helps industrial companies develop recipes and food products that contain oils. Thanks to their nutritional, organoleptic and functional qualities, the group’s diverse vegetable oils are making a healthy contribution all along the supply chain, right up to the final consumer.
Lesieur’s industrial plants
Lesieur processes oil at 3 industrial plants in France: the original plant in Coudekerque, another in Bacalan and a third in Vitrolles. A four French plant in Grande-Synthe manufactures and processes dressings.
