Sofiprotéol is fully aware of the challenges of the 21^st century and is committed to developing its activities in 2 fields that are key to the planet’s future: nutrition and the environment.

• The Group’s core business is human and animal nutrition.
• It helps protect the environment by developing renewable energy and renewable chemistry. To this end, Sofiprotéol contributes to the Grenelle Environment Round Table and supports the Energy and Climate Plan, adopted by the European Parliament.

An original economic model that ensures the Group’s commitment to industry players

Sustainable development has been at the heart of Sofiprotéol’s work since the Group was created in 1983. Its commitment stems from the Group’s economic model, which relies on a strong base of agricultural shareholders rooted throughout France.

Sofiprotéol was created by French oilseed and protein crop producers, who are also its economic partners. They have entrusted the Group with developing the French vegetable oil and protein industry in such a way that each industry player can earn a living from its business. To this end, the Group has adopted a long-term investment and innovation strategy.

Sofiprotéol’s Sustainable Commitment Charter

Committing to sustainability involves developing a vision of the future and dedicating resources to achieve it. That’s why the Executive Committee drafted and signed the Group’s “Sustainable Commitment Charter” in 2009.
