Sofiprotéol actively supports breeders of protein peas, fava beans, and lupins. The Group is also involved with seed companies like Euralis Semences, Limigrain, RAGT Génétique, and Serasem.

The rise in plant biotechnology

Biotechnology-focused research has major potential for the oilseed and protein crop industry, in terms of the quality, yield, and disease and parasite resistance of plant species.

In this field, Sofiprotéol has chosen to work with Biogemma, a major player in France’s plant biotechnology sector. The Group is also participating in Genoplante, a plant genomics research project. Genomics makes it possible to produce higher-quality plant species by studying their gene pool.
