Diester Industrie International (DII) produces and markets biodiesel and glycerin within the European Union

DII is part of the Sofiprotéol Oilseed Division. With its European sites (outside France), DII adds to the industrial and commercial force of its mother company, Diester Industrie. Through their production capacities and European network, Diester Industrie and DII lead the European biodiesel and glycerin markets.

European leader in biodiesel and glycerin

Diester Industrie International (DII) was created in 2005 to develop biodiesel production using European oilseed crops and to support the application of 2003 European directives concerning biofuels.

Through this partnership between the Sofiprotéol and Bunge groups, DII and its subsidiaries benefit both from the support of Bunge for their oil supplies, and the experience of Diester Industrie in market risk management, commercial strategy, and industrial management.

DII holds a network of international subsidiaries located in the major European biodiesel markets:

  • MBF (Mannheim Bio Fuel) and NEW* (Natural Energy West) in Germany,
